Grace Lutheran Church holds a weekly free food distribution 2-4 p.m. Wednesdays in May – May 7, 14, 21 and 28, for East Penn School District residents. Signs will be posted with directions for parking and pickup.

The Macungie Farmers Market will open for the season 4-7 p.m. May 15 on Lumber Street, just off Main Street, Macungie. They will continue Thursday evenings throughout the summer. Macungie Memorial VFW Post 9264 will present Macungie Memorial Day Observance May 26. There will be a flag raising at the Veterans Memorial in Macungie Memorial Park 10 a.m., immediately followed by the Memorial Day Program at the bandshell 10:30 a.m.
