Upper Macungie Township will hold an electronic recycling event 9 a.m. to noon May 3 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road. Items accepted will include TV monitors (three max), computers/monitors, microwaves, household batteries and fluorescent light bulbs. No appliances will be accepted. A fishing derby for big and little kids will be held 9-11 a.m. May 3 at Apple Park Ponds, 1935 Packhouse Road, Fogelsville.

Residents surrounding Kay Brook Park are exclusively invited to attend the township’s first movie of the season, “Toy Story” (PG) May 9. Activities start around 5:30 p.m. and the movie will start as soon as the sun goes down. The night will also feature a ribbon-cutting celebration of the brand-new playground construction and food trucks, yard games and more.

Upper Macungie Township’s Grub and Groove at Grange series will take place 5-8 p.m. starting May 15 in the parking lot Pavilion No. 1 at Grange Park, 360 Grange Road. The Sunday school at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Church Road, Breinigsville, will hold a Red, White and Blue themed tea party 2 p.m. May 4 in celebration of the church’s 275th anniversary.

The church will also hold a special presentation “The Muhlenberg Family and the Lutheran Church in Early Pennsylvania” 1 p.m. May 10.
