Rowlands, Ciampittiello win twice against Allen
The Parkland boys and girls track and field teams had little trouble with Allen during last week’s East Penn Conference Meet. The girls (3-0) won all 18 events on their way to a 139-11 victory, while the boys (3-0) won all but one event in a 131-19 win.
Radnor Rowlands (100 and 200) and Samuel Ciampittiello (110H and 300H) led the Trojans by winning two events apiece, while a number of others also placed first. Anthony Cappellini (400), Logan McEvoy (800), Cole Orloski and Jaiden Zabler (1600) and Marco Rossi (3200) all won or tied for first in their running events, as did all three relay teams.
Reid Andrush (discus) and Gavin Kress (javelin) won their respective throwing events, while Mikolaj Kastelik (long jump), Exzavier Seide (triple jump), Jaden Bulgin (high jump) and James McCauley (pole vault) rounded out the winners for the Trojan boys.
In the girls’ sweep of event victories, Dhaniya Miner (100), Kaley Seide (200), Lucy Tobia (400), Emily Laputka (800), Dani Schultz (1600), Harshita Keerthi (3200), Emily Hoysan (110H) and Ana Gbur (300H) all won their running events in addition to the three relay teams.
Aubrey Delong (shot put), Nana-Adwoa Ser Abrokwah (discus) and Vanessa Ball (javelin) won their throwing events, while Sarah Huff (long jump), Cinthia Grullon (triple jump), Sophie Mang (high jump) and Samantha Schultz (pole vault) rounded out the Trojan winners in the jumping events.
Tuesday’s meet against Dieruff was postponed. Results will be in next week’s edition of The Press.
