The Emmaus baseball team split a pair of games last week, beating Pocono Mountain East last Thursday after falling to Stroudsburg two days before.
In the 9-2 win over the Cardinals, Robbie Barnes allowed just three hits and two runs over 5 1/3 innings while striking out four batters. Ryan Hummel allowed one hit in 1 2/3 innings.
Tanner Karwacki led the offense, going 4-for-4 with a home run, five RBI and two runs scored. Drew McGeehan and Barnes both went 3-for-4 against PME.
In the loss to Stroudsburg, six Hornet batters had one hit each.
Three of the Mountaineers’ runs were unearned as Emmaus committed three errors in the loss.
