Boys tennis team wins first seven matches
The Emmaus boys tennis team is off to a 6-0 start overall and is 5-0 in East Penn Conference matches through the first two weeks of the 2025 season.
The Hornets beat Saucon Valley 5-2 in a nonleague match Saturday.
Chris Stone and Caleb Brown won singles matches against the Panthers. Caleb Brashear and Ayden Kegley won the No. 2 singles match, while Cole Struchko and Sai Uppiretia pulled out a three-set match at No. 3 singles and Quinn Durkin and Aarya Sevak won the fourth doubles match.
Emmaus beat Freedom by a 5-2 score last week. Stone and Brown won singles matches, while Struchko/Uppiretia and Durkin/Sevak were victorious in doubles matches.
The Hornets shut out Freedom 7-0 on Wednesday, March 21. Nick Stone, Chris Stone and Brown won singles matches. Brashear/Kegley, Struchko/Uppiretia and Durkin/Sevak won doubles matches for Emmaus.
Emmaus beat East Stroudsburg South 7-0 on Monday, March 19.

Emmaus beat Northampton 6-1 on Friday, March 14.
Nick Stone, Chris Stone and Brown won singles matches against the Kids, while the doubles of teams of Struchko/Uppiretia and Durkin/Sevak were also victorious in the team win.
Emmaus shut out Bethlehem Catholic 7-0. Nick Stone, Chris Stone and Brown won singles matches. Brashear/Kegley, Struchko/Uppiretia and Durkin/Sevak won doubles matches for Emmaus. Struchko and Uppiretia didn’t lose a game in their 6-0, 6-0 No. 3 doubles match win.
The Hornets opened the season with a 7-0 win over Easton on March 10.
