Boys tennis starts 6-1

The Parkland boys tennis team won six of its first seven matches this season, with the only loss coming to unbeaten Liberty.

The Trojans (6-1 overall; 5-1 East Penn Conference) beat Northampton last Friday, March 28, by a 5-1 score.

Parkland’s Manav Patel and Kevin Yao won singles matches against Northampton, while Jack Chu and Jackie Zhang paired up for a win at No. 2 doubles. Noah Elijovich and Matther Huang won the No. 3 doubles match and teammates Gabe Morse and Eric Zager got the win at No. 4 doubles.

The Trojans beat Bethlehem Catholic 6-0 last Monday, March 13.

Doyoon Kim, Patel and Yao won singles matches, while Chu/Zhang, Elijovitch/Huang and Morse/Zager won doubles matches.
