The men’s breakfast group from St. John’s United Church of Christ will next meet 8:30 a.m. May 3 at Hamilton Family Restaurant, 2027 Hamilton St., Allentown.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., will be celebrating its eighth anniversary noon May 8, following lunch. Lunch will be available for a small donation, and reservations need to be made by May 6.

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., has announced the 2026 Confirmation class will be selling hoagies, with a May 11 deadline. Pickup will be May 15.

St. John’s UCC, 575 Grape St., reminds everyone it’s not too early for basket donations for the basket social, set for May 31 and June 1. Gift cards or certificates to restaurants and businesses, as well as any monetary donations are always welcome.

If you feel you are not talented enough to make a basket, bring your items to the church, and we’ll make a basket for you. Empty baskets are available if needed.

Donations of baked goods are also requested.
