Concert series begins May 25

Join the Emmaus Rotary Club for a day of fun, food and fellowship at their Summer Festival 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. May 31. This family-friendly event is packed with live music, delicious food, exciting games and activities for all ages. The festival is a perfect way to kick off summer while supporting a great cause. Bring your friends, family and neighbors for an unforgettable day.

The Lower Lehigh AARP will meet noon May 1 in the lower level of Macungie Memorial Hall at Macungie Memorial Park. For more information, contact Dot at 610-967-3284.

Join the Emmaus Recreation and Entertainment Commission, Borough of Emmaus, Kelly Auto Group and Vinart Dealership for the 2025 Emmaus Summer Entertainment Series. The series will include Tunes in the Triangle, Shakespeare in the Park and Concerts in the Park. For more information about events, visit www.emmausent.com.

Enjoy a free concert at Emmaus Community Park where Woodside Avenue will take the stage at the performing arts pavilion 6-8 p.m. May 25. Check out samples of their music at woodsideaveband.com. There will be an on-site concession stand for food and beverages. The park concert series is free to the public and you do not have to be an Emmaus resident to attend. The Emmaus Historical Society and Museum, 218 Main St., is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Stop by for a visit and experience the beautiful displays that provide a glimpse into many facets of past community life.

The historical society’s next program and membership meeting is May 21 at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, 501 Chestnut St. The presentation is: “Grounded in History: A look at the history of the Knauss Homestead and Emmaus Remembrance Garden.” Connected in history by property lines, this special plot of land is preserved and managed by two separate organizations.

Learn more about the beginnings, stories of family and the rich history. Join Maggie Fischer and Mike Waddell as they talk about these two treasures of our community. Programs are free and members and nonmembers are welcome to attend.

Please save the date and join the historical society at Yergey Brewing, 235 Main St., noon to 8 p.m. May 31 for a matching tip fundraising event. You can also enjoy music by Woodside Avenue 5-8 p.m.

The society’s museum committee appreciates all donations of memorabilia that came from, was used or enjoyed by those in Emmaus. Yearbooks are no longer needed for the collection but any other school memorabilia is greatly appreciated. Call the office at 610-966-6591 to inquire whether what you have is what they want.
