Betty L. Schantz, 94, formerly of Orefield, died March 28, 2025, at Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, South Whitehall Township. She was the wife of the late Ralph C. Schantz.

Born in Mickleys, Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Sr. and Helen (Stahley) Bertsch.

Before starting her family, she was a clerk at the former A&P grocery store, 19th Street, Allentown, for several years.

She was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.

She is survived by a son, Robert T. and wife Cheryl of Macungie.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Diane L.; and 10 siblings, Raymond, Alton, Ernest, Paul and Edgar Jr. Bertsch, Irene Druckenmiller, Evelyn Lichtenwalner, Kathryn Moyer, Pauline Bertsch and Dorothy Yeakel.
