Coplay Public Library: Storytime planned for April 11

Storytime and craft for preschoolers is set for 10:30 a.m. April 11 and 25.

Registration is not required.

Warm up while you watch a free movie! Movies start 11 a.m.

The schedule includes “Mary Poppins” April 12, “The Little Mermaid” April 19 and then “Finding Nemo” April 26.

Bring snacks if you’d like.

The library will be collecting nonperishable food items for Coplay Food Bank now through April 12.

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania will visit 1 p.m. April 26 for a special storytime for kindergarten-aged children. There will also be a craft and singing.

Registration is not required.

The annual library basket social will be held May 17 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church hall, 4 S. Fifth St. The drawing will be 6:30 p.m.

Tickets will be available May 5 at the library. They will also be on sale 4-6:30 p.m. at the church hall on the day of the social.

Baskets are on display at the library until May 17, when they will be moved to the church hall.

The coloring group for teens and adults meets 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. No registration is required.

Sign up your child for the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Read any book to your newborn, infant and/or toddler. Keep track of the titles of the books on our convenient reading log sheets or any other method you choose.

When patrons reach 50, and then for each 100 books, they will get an award. There is no time limit to the program, and more than one child can participate.

Our Fiber Arts and Friends Circle group meets 1-2 p.m. Wednesdays. Whether you want to learn to crochet or knit, work on a current project or get advice from our experts, join us for a relaxing and instructive hour. We have extra yarn and knitting/crochet needles.

Adults and teens are welcome.

Take a break in your day and read the local newspapers in the library. We have a subscriptions to Whitehall-Coplay Press and The Morning Call.

Stop by the library and browse our selection of fiction and nonfiction books for sale. We also have CDs and DVDs.

Look for them on the shelves under the circulation desk and on the sale cart. Ask if you need assistance.

We accept donations of books, DVDs, CDs and puzzles all year. See our donations policy on our website, coplaypl.org, or call the library at 610-262-7351.

For your safety, drop off donations at the circulation desk during open hours. Do not leave donations at the front door.
