There’s a new Mexican eatery in Bethlehem as the nation’s #1 best fast casual restaurant brand for six years running in the USA Today 10 Best readers poll, QDOBA Mexican Eats, celebrated its grand opening Sept. 9 at Westgate Mall. It’s the second in the Lehigh Valley and now one of 740 in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
“It’s three years in the making,” said franchise partner Pranav Desai, who is joined by Raj Mahadevia and Jigar Patel in the franchise ownership at The Integritty Group.
QDOBA is known for its fresh ingredients that are prepared in-house and used in their signature burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, and salads. Customers can choose to customize their orders by selecting from various ingredients and topping them off with free premium toppings. QDOBA will also cater special events. Dozens of customers lined up outside on opening day intending to be one of the first 100 customers, each of whom will receive a free burrito or burrito bowl each month for a year.
The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce officiated a traditional opening day ribbon cutting before the doors opened for business.
The Westgate location has hired nearly 30 new employees, including some benefit providing positions.
