Senior center offers programs

Lehigh Valley Active Life, 1633 W. Elm St., Allentown, will offer the following dances 7-10 p.m. during May in the Trexler Room.

The per person fee includes refreshments.

·May 4: “Country Dance”

·May 13: “KATO”

·May 25: “Johnny K”

They will also be offering the following dance 1-3 p.m. in the Trexler Room.

·May 22: “Johnny K”

The center will also offer the following dance classes.

·May 6, 13 and 20: Beginner Line Dancing with instructor Peggy Sue Tobias, 12:30 p.m.

·May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 20: Advance Line Dancing led by instructor Cathy Seidel, noon.

The following creative arts classes will also be offered.

·May 1: Paint and Wine “Foxy” led by Angela Faidley, 6-8 p.m.

Everyone will create their own masterpiece.

·May 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20 and 22: Arts and Crafts led by Trisha Baker, 9-11 a.m.

·May 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and 31: Suzanne Bauder’s Art for Everyone, noon.

Help is available. New and advanced students are welcome.

·May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30: Knit and Chat group, 9 a.m.

Stop in, work on your own projects, knit, crochet or embroider.

·May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30: Junk Journaling and Book Making led by instructor Jean Burd, 10 a.m.

Bring glue sticks, magazines, scissors and scrapbooking supplies, if you have them. No experience needed.

·May 6, 13 and 20: Drawing led by instructor Judy Peters, 9:30 a.m.

Learn how to draw with pencils in this introductory class to composition, outlining and shading.

·May 7, 14, 21 and 28: Instructor Bonny Batman’s ceramics, 9 a.m.

Price includes paints.

The following class will be offered.

·May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30: Instructor Ray Royer’s photography composition basics, 12:30 p.m.

Learn how to improve your photography using a cellphone or any camera.

·May 1: World War II History “Celebrates In Uniform In World War II” with Dr. Charles Bonos, 2 p.m.
