Holy Spirit bids farewell and Godspeed to music director

CONTRIBUTED PHOTOS The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus, celebrated the music ministry of Sharon MacCabe the weekend of April 13-14 with a party and final round of worship services as she prepared to move into retirement. She has served Holy Spirit as music director for 14 years offering musical selections that included requiems, coffee house evenings, morning worship, Dancing Under the Stars, festival services and bell choirs, including the Rejoicing Ringers, a group of young adults with disabilities. The adult choir brought forth singers and soloists who shared their talents in worship in praise to God, the core tenet of her career. MacCabe has been much loved by the congregation for her creativity, insightful worship and program offerings and her quick wit. MacCabe will be sorely missed, but the congregation wished her a happy retirement as she begins a new journey.
