Ruth M. Greenawalt, 99, of Emmaus, died March 28, 2024, at Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown. She was the wife of the late Russell S. Greenawalt, who died April 9, 2001. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Irene (Smoyer) Bowers.

She was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1942.

She was a member of Zion Lehigh Lutheran Church, Alburtis, where she was formerly active with the Lydia Ladies.

She was a member of the Alburtis Senior Citizens and the former Fraternal Order of the Reindeer in Alburtis.

She worked as an assembler at Allen Organ Company for three years.

She was a loving and devoted mother and Naval wife.

She is survived by daughters, Renee L. Harold and her husband, Robert, Shelly K. Handwerk and her husband, Ori; sons, Russell S. II and his wife, Sherry, Michael G. and his wife, Kathleen; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
