Lewis C. Newhard, 82, of Northampton, died March 25, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the partner of Alice K. Wolf for 30 years.

Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late Carl Hoffman and June Moreland.

He was a sergeant and served honorably in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam.

He was a technician at Lucent Technologies for 41 years, retiring in 2001. Earlier, he worked in a radio shop after school.

He was a member of Delaware Valley Historic Radio Club for many years. He started the Kutztown Radio show with several of his friends.

He was a member of the American Legion for 54 years.

In addition to his partner, he is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Grischott; and a half-brother Al Row.
