Gloria F. Schoch, 95, died March 25, 2023, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Marvin W. Schoch and the late Paul T. Smith. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Herman M. Derr and the late Rebecca (Evans) Derr-Reichenbach and Clayton Reichenbach.

She worked at Phoenix Clothes for over 20 years and in the shoe department of the former retailer H. Leh and Company for 12 years.

She was a member of Solomon’s United Church of Christ, Macungie.

She was an officer and life member of New Temple #298 Order of the Eastern Star.

She was a charter member and former vice president of the Emmaus Lioness Lions Club and an auxiliary life member of VFW Post #13, Allentown.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith A. Barron, of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Stacy Sommer and her husband, Timothy, of Whitehall, Andrew Barron and his fiancée, Cynthia, of New York, N.Y.; great-grandchildren, Gregory and Audra Sommer, Braelee and Matthew Barron, Ayden Baez; sister, Bessie Comp; niece, Gloria Greenwood; cousin, Jack Graver.

Services will be held 11 a.m. April 3 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. A calling hour will precede the service 10-11 a.m.
