Seniors Jared Drake and Alanna Hartzell (Northampton) were each honored on Monday morning being named the MAC Freedom Baseball Pitcher of the Week and MAC Freedom Softball Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office.

Drake earned the win in DSU’s 4-1 win over Delaware Valley on Saturday pitching a complete-game allowing just five hits and one run over seven innings. Drake struck out 10 and did not walk a batter in the win.

Hartzell had a terrific week helping DeSales post a 4-2 record in six games. She posted a 1-0 record with one save in three appearances. For the week she totaled 12 innings allowing just 10 hits and one earned run, striking out five. Hartzell earned

her win over Delaware Valley University pitching a complete-game allowing just one run over seven innings, striking out two. She also earned a save with two scoreless innings in a win over Lehman College.
