Gallery View: Lehigh Art Alliance has “Organized Perspective” at Banana Factory Banko Gallery

The Lehigh Art Alliance (LAA) brings together 96 works by members of the Lehigh Valley artists’ group for “Organized Perspective,” Banko Gallery, Banana Factory Arts Center, Bethlehem.

“It’s not about the individual pieces, it’s about all of the pieces combined and joined together to make a whole piece, which represents the Lehigh Art Alliance and what we stand for,” says Elena Shackleton, LAA president, who has two watercolors in the exhibit.

The LAA collaboration features 10 in. x 10 in. canvases, in vertical rows of three, creating a grid pattern.

The range of mediums, techniques and styles is illustrative of each artist’s perspective.

In turn, the exhibit in its entirety spotlights how the Lehigh Art Alliance unites these diverse artists from all levels of experience, achievement, ages, styles, expression and artistic media.

Founded in 1935 by Professor Garth Howland of Lehigh University, LAA provides exhibition and educational opportunities for its members and the surrounding community.
