BC looks to make run

Bethlehem Catholic made a run to the District 11 4A championship last year and ultimately fell, but can the Golden Hawks make another run this spring?

The Hawks return a healthy amount of players from last year’s 14-9 team and head coach Matt Corsi thinks his group can compete if they can do one thing this season.

“We are looking to stay healthy,” said Corsi. “I think we have a nice balance on offense and a deep pitching staff.”

Returning players this year include Brayden Rader, Jeremy Fyrer, Dylan Pyle, Sam Bachman, Josh Yeakel-Mendez, Collin Peacock, Bryce Blawn, Caden Deegan, Phil Taylor, Zach McCoy, Joe Casciano and Joey Richards.

Newcomers to the squad that can have an impact are Kadin Hawk, Petros Tsihlis, Chris Tripp, Tyler Santay, Connor Adams and Willie Castillo.

Corsi thinks Rader, Peacock and Deegan will be the leaders of the team, who opened the regular season on Tuesday against Liberty.

“Our team goals are always to make the league and district playoffs,” said Corsi.
