Special to The Press

Long’s EcoWater System Inc., South Whitehall Township, had a check presentation March 11 at the company’s Hausman Road headquarters during which $6,000 was donated to the American Heart Association Lehigh/Berks Chapter.

Owners and employees of Long’s EcoWater Systems gave the donation to Marisa Carrodo and Jessica Escobar-Eck, development managers with the American Heart Association.

The money will be used to provide resources to local children’s sports teams and schools.

Among the items to be purchased are cardiopulmonary resuscitation kits and training, and certified emergency response plans.

The entire team of Long’s EcoWater Systems Inc. recently spent a half-day becoming certified in CPR as a way of giving back to the community.

They received the training from the Lehigh Valley Health Network program that is supported by the American Heart Association.
