Whitehall Township Public Library: Register for youth storytimes

Registration is required to attend our spring storytimes, which are held 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays through April 23 for preschoolers and 11 a.m. Thursdays through April 18 for toddlers.

The Happening Homeschoolers event is set for 1:30 p.m. March 13 for homeschool students in grades 2-5.

Additional programs will be held April 10 and May 8.

Kids in grades 3-6 can enjoy fun STEAM projects at our monthly Creation Station. We’ll next meet 6-7 p.m. March 20 to learn about the solar eclipse.

The library’s On the Same Page book club will meet 6:30 p.m. March 21 to discuss “The Diamond Eye” by Kate Quinn.

Learn about bird migration, how to observe birds and where you can find great places nearby to observe bird migration during a program set for 6 p.m. March 27.

This program is for grades 3-6 and is presented by Whitehall Environmental Advisory Council.

Did you know clothing can make you sick, break your bones and even kill you? Join us 6:30 p.m. March 28 for Fashions To Die For to learn about 18th- and 19th-century fashions and their deadly secrets.

Presented by Historical Perspectives, this program is held via Zoom. Attend from home or watch from a screen in our community room.

This month, visit Historic Bethlehem museums and sites! These sites interpret three centuries of history - from Bethlehem’s founding as a Moravian community in 1741 to its varied present-day culture.

Our pass allows all members of a household to visit Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and Moravian Museum of Bethlehem.

Museum passes are free to check out with your LCLC library card. The pass must be checked out and returned to the circulation desk. Late fees apply.

The library has a number of clubs that meet monthly.

The book club for adults meets 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. Come discuss what you’re currently reading.

The coloring club for adults meets 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays.

The Good Yarn group meets for knitting, crocheting and other needle crafts 2 p.m. the first Thursday and 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.

Teens interested in volunteering can join the Teen Advisory Board. Meetings are 1:30 p.m. one Saturday a month. Check our calendar for dates.

The library is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
