Catasauqua police responded to these and other calls recently.

JAN. 29

Harassment by annoyance cases were investigated at Innovative Arts Academy Charter School, 330 Howertown Road, involving juveniles, and in the 700 block of Circle Drive.

The transport of a suspended student at Catasauqua Middle School, 850 Pine St., was provided by police.

JAN. 30

A meter in the 200 block of Second Street was reported missing.

Officers conducted welfare checks in the 200 block of Poplar Street and at Catasauqua Towers, 534 Third St.

Traffic violations took place at Front and Willow streets and at Pine Street and Howertown Road.

JAN. 31

Police assisted North Catasauqua officers in the 1000 block of Fifth Street and the 100 block of Race Street, the latter involving a domestic disturbance.

Charges are pending against a 53-year-old male, of North Catasauqua, for a welfare check involving a DUI in the 700 block of Front Street.

A domestic disturbance was investigated in the 200 block of Church Street. No arrests were made.

FEB. 1

Police assisted citizens at Catasauqua Towers, 534 Third St., and in the 200 block of Church Street. For the latter, at the same residence, police also responded to a criminal mischief report for a rock thrown through a window. Charges were filed against William Hunt, 54, of Whitehall, for criminal mischief-excess of $1,000 and less than $5,000 damage to property and disorderly conduct-hazardous condition.

Officers responded to a juvenile issue at Catasauqua Middle School, 850 Pine St.

Police conducted a welfare check in the 300 block of Hickory Street.

A civil matter in the 400 block of Race Street was addressed.

A parking complaint at Second and Chestnut streets was investigated.

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of Front Street.

FEB. 2

Traffic violations took place at Fourth and Bridge streets, with the driver cited; at Faith Drive and Poplar Street; and at Howertown Road and Bridge Street, involving drug possession.

A vehicle was ticketed for a parking violation in the 600 block of Front Street.

Officers responded to a report of a reckless driver at North 14th and Race streets.

An emergency protection-from-abuse order was granted in the 200 block of Church Street.

Welfare checks were conducted in the unit block of Front Street and the 200 block of Pine Street, the latter also involving an agency assist.

FEB. 3

A suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Canal Street was reported.

A hit and run that occurred in the 200 block of Bridge Street is under investigation, the department said.

Security checks were conducted at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St., and in the unit block of West Race Street.

Police investigated an assault in the 800 block of Bethlehem Road. Prosecution was declined, the department said.

FEB. 4

Officers located a vehicle involved in a hit and run at Second and Race streets.

The department sought information on a harassment case in the 900 block of Race Street.

A hit and run occurred in the 400 block of St. John Street.

At Front and Pine streets, a traffic violation occurred.

The department said a fatal motor vehicle accident occurred in the 900 block of Bridge Court.

A disturbance at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., was handled by North Catasauqua police, the report said.

FEB. 5

Disturbances were investigated in the 600 block of Front Street, the 700 block of Second Street, the 600 block of Front Street and at Catasauqua Apartments, 118 Bridge St., the last three involving domestic situations.

Charges were filed against Christina Marks, 30, of Catasauqua, for an ordinance violation of keeping animals regulated during a dog bite situation at Innovative Arts Academy Charter School, 330 Howertown Road.

A temporary protection-from-abuse order was issued in the 200 block of Church Street.

Officers assisted a citizen in the 500 block of Race Street and North Catasauqua police in the 1000 block of Third Street and the 1100 block of Front Street, the last two in North Catasauqua.

FEB. 6

Police assisted with a student transport at Catasauqua High School, 2500 W. Bullshead Road, Northampton.

A lost dog in the 400 block of Crane Street was reported.

At Third and Pine streets, an animal complaint was addressed. The stray dog was reunited with its owner.

A report of reckless driving in the unit block of Lehigh Street was investigated.

Police responded to a civil matter at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St.

Officers investigated a disturbance in the 800 block of Bethlehem Road.

A theft in the 500 block of Front Street was reported.

FEB. 7

Traffic violations occurred on Pine Street, with the driver and carrier cited, and on Lehigh Street, with a warning issued.

A temporary protection-from-abuse order was granted in the 700 block of Howertown Road.

A fight at Innovative Arts Academy Charter School, 330 Howertown Road, was reported. A 15-year-old female and a 17-year-old female were charged with disorderly conduct.

In the 700 block of Third Street, a disturbance was investigated.

A case involving threats via social media was investigated at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St.

Officers addressed an animal complaint in the 700 block of Howertown Road.

FEB. 8

A theft took place in the 100 block of North 10th Street.

A suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of Pine Street was reported.

Parking complaints were addressed in the 600 block of Front Street and the 400 block of Race Street.

In the 500 block of Poplar Street, officers responded to an animal complaint.

A robbery that occurred at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., is under investigation, the department said.
