Moore Township: Moore welcomes new manager

Stephen Nowroski is the new and second Moore Township manager in the history of the township. He began orientation Feb. 5.

He replaces Nick Steiner, who vacated the role last November.

Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, 913 S. Mink Road, Danielsville, is holding a walk-in wine and dine bingo Feb. 18. Doors open 11:30 a.m., and bingo begins 1 p.m.

Winners will receive a gift card to a local restaurant or a bottle of wine.

The kitchen will be open. Seating is limited.

Moore Township Recreation Committee’s next meeting is planned for 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at the recreation center, 635 English Road. The committee’s goals are to assist township children and families. Consider supporting its important work.

Moore Township Board of Supervisors will next meet 6 p.m. March 5 in the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive. The meeting agenda will be available on the township website, mooretownship.org.

The Community Days committee’s next meeting is 6:30 p.m. March 7 in the municipal building.

On March 24, Moore Township Lioness-Lions Club will hold a spring penny party at the Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company social hall, 2718 Mountain View Drive. The party will begin 11:30 a.m., with the games beginning 1 p.m.

The kitchen opens 11:30 a.m. with homemade food, including baked goods.

Bring your own pennies or purchase them at the event. There will be door prizes, an Easter dinner basket raffle and a tricky tray.

Bingo is held 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive. The night includes prizes, progressive jackpot, rob the piggy bank and wash line bingo.
