EHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am currently a senior at Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My parents’ names are Susan and Dmitry, my brother’s name is Alex and my pets’ names are Buttons, Frankie, Cira, Millie and Ursula.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is biology/anatomy because I love learning about the human body and how it functions.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I received the Orchestra Award in sophomore year from my orchestra director, Mrs. Arnold.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?

A. I am involved in many extracurricular activities including dancing on the senior team at That’s Dancin’, playing violin in the EHS Orchestra, Girl Scouts, National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and French Honor Society. Being involved in these activities has positively impacted my high school experience by surrounding me with fun and hardworking friends who share my passions and goals in life.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge to date has been my struggle with mental health, but I have thrived thanks to the love and support of family and close friends.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My next goal is to attend college so I can become a pediatric occupational therapist.

Q. Whom do you hope to emulate? Why?

A. I hope to emulate my mom, my biggest supporter and the woman who showed me how to work hard and still enjoy life.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as someone who is always there for others when they need a friend.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice for my peers is high school is short, so enjoy all the little moments while they last.
