Ronald “Ron” C. Haas, 74, of Bethlehem, died November 30, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born in Shamokin, he was a son of the late Beverly DiSanto.

He was the husband of Sandra D. (Nagy) Haas for 46 years.

He graduated from Shamokin Area HS. He earned a bachelor’s degree from West Chester University.

He was an instrumental teacher for the Bethlehem Area School District. He played for the Lehigh Valley Pops. He also directed the Valley Community Orchestra. He volunteered for various organizations, including St. Luke’s Hospital and Cops ‘n’ Kids.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Jeff (Janet) Haas; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by his grandmother, Helen DiSanto.
