Basket social a hit

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., Fullerton, held its 14th annual basket social Oct. 6-8 in the parish social hall.

There were plenty of well-stocked baskets that were valued at $35 and more, as well as sweet homemade baked goods and delicious cooked foods, such as cabbage and noodles, chicken noodle soup and chili.

The baskets had a variety of themes, were scattered alongside bleachers and covered multiple tables. The baskets showcased home goods, crafts, candies, gardening items and restaurant gift cards, just to name a few.

The event was well attended, and parishioners were seen volunteering all around the social hall.
