Halloween Spooktacular Oct. 20 at Covered Bridge Park

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, will show the movie, “A Dog’s Journey,” 1-3 p.m. Oct. 20.

The library and South Whitehall Township is offering the third annual Halloween Spooktacular 5-7 p.m. Oct. 20 at Covered Bridge Park, 2465 Wehr Mill Road.

Family Story Time with Ms. Audrey for kids of all ages will take place 10-10:45 a.m. on Oct. 21.

There will be ukulele music, dancing and picture book story time followed by a craft.

Baby story time for kids ages birth to 15 months with an adult caregiver will take place from 10:30-11 a.m. Oct. 23 and 30.

The library staff will share simple books, lap bounces, rhymes and songs, all designed to help babies build important social, motor and early literacy skills.

Toddler Tales for kids ages 18 months to 3 and a half-years old, with a caregiver will be offered 10-10:30 a.m. Oct. 24, 25 and 31.

There will be stories, rhymes, music, and movement.

Book Art Series: Folded Books for adults will take place 1-4 p.m. on Oct. 24.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to create a hardcover folded book.

Materials and tools will be provided.

The Walking Book Club will meet to discuss the novels “A Step in Faith” and “Walking on Water” by Richard Paul 6-7 p.m. Oct. 24.

Teen Haunted Paintings for kids in grades five through 12 will be presented 6-7 p.m. on Oct. 24.

Help the library refurbish an old painting by adding your own spooky ideas.

All supplies will be provided.

Preschool Story Time for kids ages 3-5 will take place 11-11:45 a.m. Oct. 25 and Nov. 1.

There will be story time and a craft.

Baby Yoga with Whitney of Mama Aura Wellness for babies eight weeks through crawling will take place 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Oct. 26.

Yarn lovers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend the Not Just Knitting group from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 26.

Bring materials for an afternoon of knitting with friends and swapping tips.

The library’s coloring club for adults will take place 2-4 p.m. Oct. 26.

Spend an afternoon coloring to lessen stress.

The Rebel Girls Club, based on the book series, “Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls,” will meet 6:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 26.

This club is intended to empower young girls ages 8-12 to grow up confident and inspired to do great things.

Activities will include creating vision boards and confidence boxes, setting goals, and learning how a weekly planner can help plan ways to make an impact and be extraordinary in families and the communities.

Game day for adults will be 1-3:30 p.m. on Oct. 27.

The PCL Garden Club, an intergenerational gardening club for kids and adults, will meet 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 28 to celebrate gardening and seed gathering.

Learn how to collect seeds, when and where to plant them, best practices and related conversations.

The Teen Lavender League for kids in grades six through 12 will meet 5:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

Teens join library staff in a safe space and discuss anything that may be on your mind.

Sensory Story Time for kids 18 months to 3-1/2 years old, with an adult caregiver, will take place 10-10:30 a.m. Nov. 2.

The library will host its drop-in Senior Coffee Club 10-11 a.m. Nov. 2.

The library’s Family Vegan Holiday Cooking class will be offered 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 2.

Learn how to make vegan recipes for your family holiday table with a chef from Butterhead Kitchen, Easton.

Each family will receive the recipes, a shopping list, and samples of all of the food prepared in the demonstration.

Cooking tips and plant-based eating facts are interwoven throughout.
