Despite it being a rainy evening, Parkland High School students flocked to the school for their annual Homecoming Dance and choice of royalty on Oct. 14.
Hundreds of students danced, shouted and just plain had fun at the event held in the high school cafeteria.
An unusual evening, for after the votes had been counted, there was a tie for both the king and the queen.
Sharing the spotlight for the title of 2023 Homecoming Queen were Camryn Johns and Gabriella Gavirati.
The 2023 Homecoming Kings crowns went to Zander Blickley and Connor Johns.

Prospects for the 2023 Homecoming King were Ali Wezza, Ethan Sliver, Zander Brickley, Connor Johns and Tim Saad.
The first 2023 Homecoming Queen to be announced at the dance was Camryn Johns. Due to a tie, two queens were crowned.
Gabriella Gavirati was named one of two 2023 Queens due to the tie vote at the Homecoming Dance.
Zander Blickley was crowned one of two 2023 Kings at the school's Homecoming Dance.
Connor Johns was crowned one of two 2023 Homecoming Kings at the dance on Oct. 14.
Ready to have a great time at the Homecoming Dance were friends Zyairah Smith, Victoria Capellan, Christian Munene and Lile Jerapova.
Faithnia Jean Baptiste, Krista Joy Calizo, Sophia Jean Baptiste, Diana Ruiz Guzman, and Alexa Rosario were looking forward to fun times at the Homecoming Dance.
Petra Quinones and Jordan Fisher were among many couples who attended the Parkland High School Homecoming Dance Oct. 14 in the school's cafeteria.
The Bow Tie Guys Brandon Stout, Jabiel Ortiz, Luke Stahley, Brady Willard, Ethan Coleman, Dominic Faenza, Kaleb Grover and Finn Coen were ready to party.
Geaioni Hernandez, Brandon Gonzalez, and Sam Ciampatello, danced up a storm at the Parkland High School Homecoming Dance on Oct. 14.
