Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton, with Eric Johanson, 8 p.m. Aug. 18, Penn’s Peak, Jim Thorpe. Fish and Dayton perform songs from their first collaborative album, “Death Wish Blues” (2023). They co-wrote the album’s songs and performed them for the recording. Fish is a songwriter and guitarist from Kansas City, Mo. Fish’s 10 albums, including her debut, “Live Bait” (2009), and live shows feature multiple genres, including rock, blues, country, funk, bluegrass and ballads. Dayton is a musician, actor and record producer from Austin, Tex., who has recorded 17 albums, including his debut, “Raisin’ Cain” (1995), which topped the Americana chart. Dayton is best-known for his guitar contributions to albums by country musicians, including Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings. and Willie Nelson. He also composed music for the soundtracks of horror film director Rob Zombie.
