In a recent Facebook post, Upper Milford Township announced the official opening of Arrowhead Park, 4440 Benjamin Court. Features include playground equipment and swings.

Not too long ago, yours truly was reminiscing about visiting another Upper Milford park, Jasper Park, Quarry Drive South, as a kid and riding a chicken mounted on a giant spring. The reason for the visit is lost to time but the view from the back of giant metal animal remains. What a thrill!

I hope Arrowhead Park will conjure similar fond memories for visitors.

The Upper Milford Historical Society will host a program on Old Zionsville at the Upper Milford Township municipal complex, 5671 Chestnut St., 6 p.m. Aug. 31.
