The 2023 National Night Out is quickly approaching! It will be held 6-8 p.m. Aug. 1 at Salisbury Elementary School. Looking for a fun way to escape the summer heat, air quality days and watch some great kid-approved movies this summer? The AMC Summer Movie Camp continues this summer.With tickets at a low price Wednesdays and Saturdays, this is a great way to spend some time with the kids. Opening July 22 through July 26 will be “The Secret Life of Pets” and opening July 29 and playing through Aug. 2 will be “Boss Baby: The Family Business.”

The 2023 Frank Yelinko Memorial Fund Golf Tournament will be held Sept. 9 at the Club at Twin Lakes. It will begin 8 a.m. with a shotgun start so plan to arrive by 7 a.m. There is a cost per golfer which includes a round of golf, a cart, a gift, lunch, prizes and door prizes. This will be formatted in a 4-person scramble and is limited to the first 32 paid foursomes. So don’t delay. It’s almost that time ... and you either love it or hate it ... its almost Musikfest time. Aug. 3-13 ... a whole 10 days of music right in Bethlehem. Whether you go for the concerts (both ticketed and free), the food, the other entertainers or simply to fill that mug and walk around, there is something for everyone.

The community blood drive held at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury Township was a success. Miller Keystone received 38 life saving units of blood, according to organizer Deana Leibensperger. Each unit of blood can save up to three lives which means 114 lives saved due to the generosity of those who gave.

Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury Township Willing Workers are sponsoring a bus trip to Knoebels for church members and Sunday school attendees, Aug. 10. There is limited seating on the bus so make your reservation early by contacting Louise at 484-456-1148, 610-866-1611 or email stephens.louise.a@gmail.com.

The Devonshire yard waste drop-off site will be open July 20 and 22 and the Franko site will be open July 24, 27 and 29. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays.
