Baum School of Art 38th Annual Art Auction raises funds

The Baum School of Art 38th Annual Art Auction raised $110,000 in gross sales, as of May 20, closing date for the bidding.

Baum School of Art of Art Executive Director Shannon S. Fugate also said that the after-auction sale continued through May 27.

Added to the final amount raised would be sponsor figures, according to Fugate.

The top sale during the art auction was Walter Baum’s “The Little Old Mill,” which fetched $12,000, said Fugate.

Auctioneer Boris Wainio attended the “Premiere Party,” 6 - 9 p.m. May 13, to launch the bidding.

The party included hors d’oeuvres by Karen Hunter and music by Roger Latzgo.

A “Third Thursday” reception for the art auction was held 6 - 8 p.m. May 18.
