Catasauqua Area School District will be closed May 29 for Memorial Day. Normal schedules will resume May 30.

There will be early dismissals June 2, 5, 6, and 7. Sheckler Elementary School students will dismiss noon.

A summer reading camp from Camp BOOK IT! is now open for enrollment for children in grades pre-K to sixth or ages 4-12. The camp runs June through August and is a free program that will help students reach reading goals.

Sheckler Elementary is seeking a full-time secretary for a 12-month position, starting Aug. 1.

The secretary will be responsible for day-to-day operations within the school’s office. The position’s schedule will run 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays to Fridays with a 30-minute paid lunch.

Benefits will be included with the hiring package.
