PV tops Trojans in girls lacrosse semifinal

The Parkland girls lacrosse team earned the No. 4 seed for the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference playoffs.

The Trojans took on top-seeded Pleasant Valley in last Thursday’s semifinal round and lost 18-3 to the unbeaten Bears (19-0).

GIgi Leonzi had a goal and an assist for Parkland, while Isabella Esteban and Addison Winfield had one goal each in the game. Riley Santa-Anna had an assist. Trojan goal keeper Hailey Smith made six saves.

Pleasant Valley was led by Rylee Roth with nine goals and two assist. Devon Bush and Olivia Iandoli scored four goals each for the Bears

Pleasant Valley went on to face Emmaus in the league title game.

Parkland will go on the District 11 Class 3A playoffs as the No. 5 seed. They will likely have a first-round matchup against No. 4 Easton (11-6) on Thursday.
