3 charged in 2022 homicide

District Attorney Jim Martin and Allentown Police Chief Charles Roca announced May 10 arrests in a homicide investigation.

Xavier Grenon, 32, of Whitehall; Legious Robert Minder Jr., 21, of Bethlehem; and Frederick Antwan Marks Jr., 23, of Bath, are all charged with criminal homicide; conspiracy to commit criminal homicide; attempt to commit criminal homicide; and aggravated assault/knowing or recklessly extreme indifference - all felonies of the first degree - and discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure and firearms not to be carried without a license (prior convictions) - both felonies of the third degree.

Grenon, Minder and Marks are all charged for the Aug. 31, 2022, death of 22-year-old Najeer Lane, of Allentown. Lane died from a gunshot wound to the back. His death was ruled a homicide by the Lehigh County coroner.

Grenon, Minder and Marks are all in custody.

The case was investigated by Detective Harold Bonser, of Allentown Police Department; Detective Daniel Reagan, of Lehigh County District Attorney’s Homicide Task Force; and Lehigh County’s 12th investigating grand jury.

The grand jury heard testimony from witnesses presented by Chief Deputy District Attorney Bethany S. Zampogna and reviewed exhibits before handing up its presentment.

The presentment was approved by the Honorable Anna-Kristie Marks, supervising judge of the grand jury. Marks has sealed the presentment; thus; no further facts will or can be released.
