To the Editor:

I really enjoyed the story about Lis Cassler’s retirement in the April 26 edition of the East Penn Press. She truly has a gift for language and for teaching. She is a charismatic, kind and engaging teacher, able to motivate almost any student.

I remember her best as Madame Cassler, my superb French teacher. She also was a frequent substitute in every subject and was one of the best teachers of every subject.

I think this story is a fitting tribute to her career.
