BREAKING NEWS: State Police investigating food tampering

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, Criminal Investigation Unit are investigating incidents of food tampering at the Giant in Lower Macungie Township.

On April 19, Troopers from State Police, Fogelsville, were dispatched to the Giant, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, for the report of food tampering.

Upon investigation, it was determined an employee had put sewing needles into grocery items, which were purchased and returned by customers.

Further investigation has revealed the items that have been affected are bagged vegetables and individual Tastykake packaging.

Troopers are recommending customers who purchased grocery items from this store between April 13 and 19, check the items for any tampering.

A juvenile suspect has been identified and charges are forthcoming.
