District News: WHS’ Caleb Knotts wins Gold Key, Jury Award for drawing

Congratulations to Whitehall High School freshman Caleb Knotts, a student in Lehigh Career and Technical Institute’s advertising design/commercial art program, who won both a Gold Key and a Jury Award for his pen and ink drawing “Over Heaven” during the region’s Scholastic Art and Writing Awards ceremony at Kutztown University.

There were more than 650 entries, and only one other piece received a Jury Award in the East Central Pennsylvania art region.

Students awarded Gold Keys at the regional level go on to compete with their peers across the country, with top winners receiving an exhibition in New York City and a ceremony at Carnegie Hall.
