Albright student presents research

Olivia Donkus of Kutztown presented her senior thesis by May 2, 2022.

A graduate of Kutztown Area High School, Donkus is studying biochemistry at Albright.

Each senior thesis is a major undertaking and the culmination of at least a year of concentrated independent research, vetted by a faculty advisor and a committee of faculty readers.

Donkus worked with Professor of Biology David T. Osgood Ph.D., to explore a senior thesis on “Effect of increasing storm frequency on phosphorous load in a restored creek.”

Donkus earned the Paul M. Leininger Chemistry Award. A cash award given by Craig B. Pearson, M.D., in honor of Paul M. Leininger, Professor Emeritus of Chemistry, this award is given to a junior or senior who demonstrated excellence in the study of chemistry.
