Try stories, coloring, knitting and more at Parkland Library

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, will offer Family Story Time for kids ages 1 to 5 10-10:30 a.m. Jan. 24 and 25.

There will be read-aloud stories, songs and rhymes.

Preschool Story Time for kids ages 3-5 will be offered from 1:30-2:15 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

The Young Critics Book Club will meet to discuss the novel, “The Silver Arrow,” by Lev Grossman 6:30-7:30 p.m. Jan. 19 in the Karen Tamerler Children’s Meeting Room.

The library will show the movie, “The Card Counter,” for adults from 1-3 p.m. Jan. 20.

Welcome Baby Story Time for expectant parents and kids ages 2-6 will take place 10-10:45 a.m. Jan. 21 in the Karen Tamerler Children’s Meeting Room.

There will be a Baby Story Time for kids ages birth to 15 months with an adult caregiver from 10:30-11 a.m. Jan. 23.

Library staff will share simple books, lap bounces, rhymes and songs, all designed to help babies build important social, motor and early literacy skills.

Teen Habitats and Ecosystems will be offered from 6-7 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

Learn about various types of habitats found all over the world with the Nurture Nature Center.

Yarn lovers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend the Not Just Knitting group from 2-4 p.m. Jan. 26 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

Bring your materials for an afternoon of knitting with friends and swapping tips.

Coloring Club for adults will be offered 2-4 p.m. Jan. 26. Spend an afternoon of coloring to help lessen stress.
