SHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am currently enrolled in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.

Q. Who is in your family? Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My family consists of my mom Vicki, dad Michael, my brother Aiden and I have one dog named Hope and a cat named Conner.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject has always been English. I love the endless amount of creativity there is within reading and writing. There are so many things to learn and explore about the world around us. (I also love a good romance novel.)

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I have received two awards regarding my time at my dance studio (5-year and 10-year awards.)

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. Yes. I have been a dancer for the past 11 years at Studio West Dance Centre, I have been class secretary for the past four years and I am a member of Key Club, No Place for Hate, G.I.V.E. and Advanced Chorus.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My next goal after high school is to attend college. I am undecided on a major but I am very interested in various jobs in the medical field.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge has been balancing all of the emotions that come with senior year so far. It has been very hard for me to realize that after this year I will no longer be in Salisbury and my normal routines will all be different.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered for being someone that was always willing to be there and help with anything and someone that will always be there to listen.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my parents because they are always willing to help others, especially my brother and me. They always told me that I could tell them anything, even if it was something bad because they would help me work it out and it would be OK in the end.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My biggest advice is to enjoy everything at the moment. It’s great to be concerned about the future, but don’t let that stop you from accomplishing everything you want to in life.
