Kahm, Curtis, Watt earn quad racing track titles

Three riders from the Northwestern Lehigh area were recently crowned champions at the Evansville MX Park.

The annual 14-race motocross season runs from April to October at the Berwick racetrack. Kit Kahm, Jr., Mason Curtis and Addison Watt all took home first-place trophies at an awards banquet held last month, while Gavin Lash and Kash Curtis also finished in the top five this season.

Kahm earned two titles in 2022. He won the Quad Schoolboy title by one point over the second-place finisher, 253-252. The 16-year old also took home the title in Quad D.

Eleven-year old Mason Curtis took home first place in 9/11-year-old Quad 90/125 Limited with 272 points on the season.

Eight-year old Watt brought home a title in 4-8 year old 50 Open Quad. She accumulated 294 points on her 12 best finishes this season to take the title with over 100 points more than the second-place finisher.

Nine-year old Kash Curtis finished second in the 70/90 Open Division among 7-11 year olds. Four-year old Gavin Lavish took fourth place among 4-8 year olds in the Quad 90 Beginner Division.

Final standings are based on each riders’ best 12 finishes of the season.
