Steel Ice center opens with fanfare

ArtsQuest held an official ribbon cutting on a sunny Nov. 22 afternoon, opening its Ice Rink at SteelStacks to the public. The rink has been built on the lawn in front of the Levitt Pavilion and will be open through New Years Day, 2023. ArtsQuest CEO Kassie Hilgert said planning for the rink began five years ago. “This is a testament to our effort to provide authentic experiences,” said Hilgert. Skating fees are $9 for anyone over 14 years of age, $7 for anyone 13 and under, and ArtsQuest members can skate for $6. Skate rentals are available for $6. Visit ChristmasCity.org for dates and times that the rink is open.
