Northampton Area Public Library: Youth Book Club will meet Dec. 1

Monthly clubs for students in grades 3-5 continue meeting.

The Book Club will meet 6 p.m. Dec. 1 to discuss “Fly on the Wall” by Remy Lai.

The Game Club will meet 6 p.m. Dec. 8.

The STEAM Craft Club will be making homemade kaleidoscopes 6 p.m. Dec. 15.

The Friends of the Library group is hosting a holiday Sip and Shop event 6-8 p.m. Dec. 2 with light refreshments, two glasses of wine and interesting finds for those on your guest list.

You must be 21 or older, and tickets are sold at the door. See the library website for a list of vendors.

Kids’ craft bags continue through December, with a limit of two per family.

The handprint cardinal craft pickup begins Dec. 5.

Pick up a handprint snowy owl craft beginning Dec. 19.

Storytimes for the little ones continue through Dec. 8.

Infant lap sit storytime is 10:30 a.m. Mondays, toddler storytime is 10 a.m. Tuesdays and preschool storytime is 10 a.m. Thursdays.

Join Miss Tessa for a special holiday storytime and craft for all ages 10 a.m. Dec. 15.

Teens, if you signed up for the wood slice snowman kit, pickup begins Dec. 12.

Unfortunately, all kits are claimed at this time, but you can sign up for January’s do-it-yourself body butter kit to keep the dry skin away this winter.

Adults, there are still a few shabby chic star wreath kits available. If you would like to create this winter decor piece, register on our website.

Pickup is set to begin Dec. 12.

The library is partnering again with Northampton Borough Elementary for our angel tree project.

Each paper angel on the tree at the library contains a requested gift for a less fortunate student at the school.

Celebrate the spirit of giving by purchasing the gift and returning it to the library by Dec. 12.

Gifts may be wrapped or unwrapped, but the paper angel must be attached to the outside of the package.

Adult Stitch and Chat will meet 6 p.m. Dec. 13.

The library will be closed for the Christmas holiday Dec. 22-26 and for the New Year holiday Dec. 29-Jan. 2, 2023.

An Hour to Kill is now Once Upon a Crime! The premise is the same, only the dates have changed.

Once Upon a Crime will still feature the true crime you love with the themes you know. The next meeting is 6 p.m. Jan. 30, 2023. It will be a hybrid meeting.
