Christkindlmarkt continues weekends through Dec. 19, SteelStacks, Bethlehem. The 30th annual event, presented by Univest Financial, opened Nov. 18. New this year is The Ice Rink at SteelStacks, presented by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital. The ice rink constructed on the Levitt lawn opened Nov. 22 and continues through Jan. 1. The German-inspired, tented Christkindlmarkt was named one of the top holiday markets in the world by Travel + Leisure and one of the top holiday markets in North America by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice annual competition. Attractions include Crayola Creativity Station, ice sculpture, ArtsQuest Hot Glass Experience, handcrafted tree ornaments from Germany’s Käthe Wohlfahr, and a visit with St. Nicholas. Food and beverages are available. Christkindlemarkt is open Friday - Sunday Nov. 25 - 27 and Thursday - Sunday Dec. 1 - 4, 8 - 11 and 15 - 18. “Winter Light Spectacular,” which opened Nov. 11, continues through Jan. 1 at the Lehigh Valley Zoo, Schnecksville. “Winter Light Spectacular,” presented by Service Electric TV & Communications and sponsored by Members 1st Federal Credit Union, is back for its ninth consecutive year at the zoo along Game Preserve Road. The display has more than 1.2 million twinkling lights, as well as holiday displays. Also, there are fire pits, seasonal treats such as hot chocolate and s’mores, and nightly performances by popular princesses Anna, Elsa, Belle and Cinderella. Santa Claus is there through Dec. 23. Steppin’ Out!: An Evening with Dave Fry and Friends, 8 p.m. Nov. 25, Godfrey Daniels, Bethlehem. Steppin’ Out! returns to Godfrey’s for its “Black Friday” concert for the Thanksgiving Day weekend.
