Congratulations to the Catasauqua High School marching band, whose performance earned them a score of 88.07 during the recent Cavalcade of Bands Championship, held Nov. 11 at Hershey Park Stadium. CHS’ score elevated them to eighth place out of 25 bands in the American A division.

Reminder: Schools in Catasauqua Area School District will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 24-28. Classes will resume Nov. 29.

Nov. 29 is the last day to participate in Catasauqua Rough Riders Varsity C Club’s dine and donate fundraiser, for dine-in and carryout services, at Catty Corner Neighborhood Pub & Pie, 301 Mulberry St. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., mention this fundraiser to your server, and 10% of the proceeds will be donated back to the club.

A Lehigh Carbon Community College representative will be available to meet with interested CHS junior and senior students in the school’s cafeteria during the Rough Rider block Dec. 5. Any student interested in speaking to this representative should report directly to the cafeteria, where attendance will be taken.

CASD has an open position for an instructional aide for the 2022-23 academic year. CASD is also looking for daily substitute teachers for the 2022-23 year.
