Catasauqua police responded to these and other calls recently.

AUG. 29

Civil matters were investigated in the 300 block of School Street and the 700 block of Front Street.

A student altercation at Innovative Arts Academy Charter School, 330 Howertown Road, was handled by school officials, the report said.

Criminal mischief - damage to a door - in the 100 block of Front Street was reported.

Police conducted a security check in the 500 block of St. John Street.

In the 100 block of Race Street, a protection-from-abuse order was violated.

AUG. 30

A traffic violation occurred in the 600 block of Front Street. The driver was cited.

Criminal mischief - a window broken - in the 800 block of Peach Street was reported.

Suspicious activity in the 300 block of Church Street was investigated.

Officers assisted at the scene of a reported overdose in the 100 block of Bridge Street.

At the station, 90 Bridge St., the department assisted a citizen, regarding ammunition to be destroyed.

A security check was conducted in the 500 block of St. John Street.

AUG. 31

At Catasauqua Middle School, 850 Pine St., a harassment case, involving juveniles, occurred.

Damage to a vehicle in the 300 block of School Street was reported.

Traffic violations took place at Church Street and Howertown Road, with the driver cited, and at South Lehigh Avenue and Bridge Street, Whitehall.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police at Arch and Front streets for a dumping complaint.

An investigation of a dog bite that occurred at Front and Walnut streets was referred to an animal control officer.

Police conducted a security check in the 500 block of St. John Street.

At Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., a welfare check was conducted.

SEPT. 1

Domestic disturbances took place in the 200 block of Wood Street and the 100 block of Second Street. No arrests were made in either case.

A suspicious person at American and Mulberry streets was reported.

Parking complaints were handled in the unit block of Union Street, with the vehicle ticketed and towed, and the 100 block of Howertown Road, with the vehicle towed.

Officers assisted a citizen at Front and Union streets.

An argument in the 100 block of Front Street was reported. Police conducted a welfare check.

A juvenile missing from the 300 block of Peach Street was later located.

SEPT. 2

A security check was conducted in the 600 block of Faith Drive.

A fireworks complaint in the 300 block of Union Street was addressed.

Samantha Acevedo, 34, of Coplay, was arrested in the 300 block of American Street for acquisition of a controlled substance by fraud.

A motorcycle stolen from the 300 block of School Street was later recovered.

Police responded to a noise complaint in the 200 block of Second Street. A warning was given.

At Bridge and Front streets, a disorderly male was transported home.

Suspicious activity in the 500 block of St. John Street was reported.

SEPT. 3

Police assisted North Catasauqua officers in the 1100 block of Fifth Street and Pennsylvania State Police at North Dauphin and North Irving streets, Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

A juvenile acting out in the 100 block of Second Street was reported.

Criminal mischief - damage to a tire - in the 100 block of Howertown Road was filed with the department.

Suspicious activity in the 700 block of Second Street was investigated.

Loud music in the 600 block of South 14th Street was reported.

A parking ticket was issued in the 700 block of Limestone Street.

SEPT. 4

Traffic violations occurred at South 14th Street and Bethlehem Road, Bridge Street and Lehigh Avenue, Whitehall, and in the 200 block of Race Street.

A security check was conducted in the 500 block of St. John Street.

In the 300 block of Mulberry Street, a fire pit was extinguished due to an ordinance violation.

At Second and Bridge streets, a welfare check on a vehicle was conducted.

SEPT. 5

A domestic disturbance in the unit block of Railroad Street was investigated. No arrests were made.

A wallet missing from the 400 block of Second Street was later returned.

In the 100 block of Walnut Street, a civil matter had police at the scene.

SEPT. 6

A traffic complaint at Catasauqua Middle School, 850 Pine St., was addressed.

In the unit block of Second Street, officers assisted a citizen.

A stray dog in the 700 block of Third Street was reported.

Police responded to a parking complaint in the 300 block of Howertown Road.

At Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., a civil matter involving child custody occurred.

A domestic disturbance took place in the unit block of Front Street. No arrests were made.

SEPT. 7

An ordinance violation in the 700 block of Front Street was investigated.

During vehicle stops for traffic violations, drivers were cited in the 200 block of Race Street and at Second and Chapel streets.

Security checks were conducted in the 600 block of Bath Avenue and the 500 block of St. John Street.

SEPT. 8

Police assisted a citizen in the 100 block of South Front Street.

During a vehicle stop for a traffic violation, a driver was cited at First Avenue and Pine Street, Whitehall.

In the 200 block of Second Street, a welfare check was conducted.

A reported assault was handled in the 500 block of Kurtz Street.

At Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., a civil matter occurred.

In the 700 block of Third Street, officers responded to a citizen assist request involving a narcotics complaint.

SEPT. 9

During a vehicle stop in the 600 block of Fourth Street, a driver was cited for a traffic ordinance violation.

A harassment case involving juveniles at Catasauqua High School, 2500 W. Bullshead Road, Northampton, had police at the scene.

Police assisted North Catasauqua officers at Fourth and Grover streets for an animal complaint.

A parking complaint case in the 200 block of Front Street was referred to a parking officer.

SEPT. 10

A domestic disturbance occurred in the 300 block of School Street. No arrests were made during this call.

During a domestic disturbance call, Emmett McCann, 29, of Catasauqua, was arrested in the 200 block of Church Street on charges of simple assault, strangulation and harassment, police said.

Officers investigated a neighbor issue in the 200 block of Peach Street.
