Wellness walk offered Aug. 20

Chuck Thomas, a certified Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide, will lead a wellness hike 8 to 11 a.m. Aug. 20 at Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus.

The event is part of the Get Out for Wellness series.

There is a cost to register.

The walk is designed to help participants reconnect with nature. Hikers will spend time along the route pausing and connecting with nature through poetry and meditation.

Light refreshments will be offered after the hike.

Other wellness walks and hikes include Tobyhanna State Park Loop Trail, Tobyhanna State Park, 114 Campground Road, Tobyhanna, 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 7 and Graver Arboretum, 1581 Bushkill Center Road, Bath, 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 13.

The August series concludes with a hike at Lehigh Parkway and Fish Hatchery, 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 27.
