No one was injured when a tire of a sport utility vehicle deteriorated and debris from the tire struck another vehicle on Interstate 78 West in Salisbury Township, 7:03 a.m. May 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A 2008 Toyota Prius was traveling west behind a 2011 Ford Expedition when the left front tire of the SUV failed and debris flew into the air. The Toyota was struck by a piece of tire, causing a crack in the front windshield, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
