Salisbury police continue to investigate the shooting death of a dog in its owner’s yard late last year.

According to a news release from police at the time of the incident, the dog was shot and killed around 5 p.m. Dec. 23, 2021, while in a yard in the 500 to 800 block of East Montgomery Street in the township.

A white or light colored SUV was seen in the area and individuals in the vehicle may have shot the dog, according to police.

The vehicle fled the area.

The residential neighborhood where the incident happened includes Salisbury Township High School, 500 E. Montgomery St.
